A Seismic Risk Assessment of Concrete-Filled Double-Skin Steel Tube (CFDST) Frames with a Beam-Only-Connection for Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls (BRWs)

The beam-only connected reinforced concrete shear wall (BRW) is used as a reinforcing component to enhance the seismic performance of concrete-filled, double-skin steel tube (CFDST) frames. effects BRW on risks CFDST frames are investigated. Three levels limit states defined and described according typical failure test specimens existing definition current guidance. A simplified numerical model calibrated for frame-BRW structures, results validate it. Nonlinear dynamic analyses nine-story CFDST-BRW building performed investigate reducing risk buildings. show that reduces probability collapse frame 2.76% in 50 years, which can effectively reduce different degrees damage service cycle structure. provide information risk-informed decision-making design structures.
